The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) Ethics Committee has summoned officials and a player from Musanze FC and Amagaju FC over allegations of match-fixing linked to a recent league fixture.

Those called to appear include Amagaju FC fitness coach Imurora Hakizimana Japhet and Musanze FC player Gahungu Habarurema, who are accused of involvement in attempts to influence the outcome of a match.

The summons follows a formal complaint lodged by Musanze FC, alleging that Imurora attempted to offer and promise a bribe to one of their players in a bid to manipulate the result.

The allegations stem from the Rwanda Premier League Matchday 27 encounter between the two teams played on April 17, 2026, which ended in a 2-0 victory for Amagaju FC.

FERWAFA’s Ethics Committee has directed representatives from both clubs, along with the individuals named in the complaint, to appear before the body on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the federation’s headquarters to respond to the allegations.

The development marks a significant step in the federation’s efforts to safeguard integrity and discipline within Rwandan football.
