Rwanda and Equatorial Guinea have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations following the presentation of letters of credence by Ambassador Parfait Busabizwa to President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo in Malabo.

The ceremony formally accredited Ambassador Busabizwa as Rwanda’s representative to Equatorial Guinea, where he will also continue serving as non-resident ambassador to Congo-Brazzaville.

Discussions following the ceremony focused on expanding cooperation between the two countries, with emphasis on agriculture, tourism, education, technology, air transport, and broader efforts to advance African integration.

Both sides underscored the importance of building on existing relations and identifying new opportunities for mutual benefit.

Rwanda and Equatorial Guinea maintain growing diplomatic and sectoral cooperation, reinforced by agreements signed in recent years covering areas such as diplomatic consultancy, tourism development, and aviation cooperation.
