The Rwanda National Police has announced the temporary closure of the Nyabarongo Bridge linking Muhanga and Ngororero districts to allow ongoing road rehabilitation works on the Muhanga–Nyange highway.
The bridge, located in Murambi Village, Musongati Cell, Nyarusange Sector in Muhanga District, was closed to facilitate construction activities aimed at improving the road infrastructure.
According to a public notice issued by Police, the closure took effect from 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and remained in place until 3:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Authorities have called on motorists and other road users to exercise patience and cooperate with traffic management measures put in place during the maintenance works.
The temporary closure is part of efforts to ensure the safe and efficient execution of the road upgrade project.
