Police Handball Club are on the verge of clinching the Rwanda Men’s Handball Championship after securing a 34–28 victory over APR HC in Game 2 of the playoff finals.

The match, played on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Petit Stade in Kigali, gave Police HC a 2–0 lead in the best-of-five series, placing them one win away from the national title.

Police HC had already taken the advantage in the opening encounter, edging APR HC 29–28 in a tightly contested Game 1 played in Kimisagara.

Under the playoff format, a team must win three matches to be crowned champions. Police HC can seal the title in Game 3, scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026. A win for APR HC would extend the series to a fourth match.

The Saturday programme at Petit Stade also includes classification matches for third place between GS Tabagwe and Gicumbi HC, ahead of the decisive playoff fixtures.
