Nine of Rwanda’s top volleyball teams are set to compete in the annual Liberation Day tournament, which begins on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Petit Stade in Remera.
The competition brings together five men’s teams and four women’s teams as part of events marking Liberation Day on July 4.
In the men’s category, Police VC, REG VC, APR VC, Kepler VC and Gisagara VC will battle for the title.
The teams were drawn into two groups on Tuesday, June 30. Group A consists of Police VC and REG VC, while Group B features APR VC, Kepler VC and Gisagara VC.
Group-stage matches will be played on Wednesday, with a packed schedule at Petit Stade:
- Gisagara VC vs APR VC – 11:30
- Kepler VC vs APR VC – 14:00
- Gisagara VC vs Kepler VC – 16:30
- Police VC vs REG VC – 19:00
In the women’s category, the competition will skip the group stage, with teams proceeding directly to the semi-finals.
On Thursday, July 2, Police WVC will face RRA WVC at 11:30, while Kepler WVC take on APR WVC at 14:30.
The finals for both categories are scheduled for Friday, July 3, 2026, also at Petit Stade.
Last year’s edition was won by Police VC in the men’s category and Police WVC in the women’s category.
