Rwandan footballer Mukandayisenga Jeannine, popularly known as “KaBoy”, has completed a move to Chinese club Wuhan Jiangda WFC from Tanzania’s Yanga Princess, in a transfer widely described as one of the most significant in the Tanzanian women’s football league.

Yanga Princess confirmed her departure on Saturday following two standout seasons in which the Rwandan forward established herself as one of the league’s most prolific scorers.

Mukandayisenga leaves Tanzania after scoring 20 goals in each of the last two seasons, a consistent performance that earned her recognition as one of the league’s leading attacking talents, even though her club did not secure the championship.

The transfer marks a major step in her career and is seen as a historic move for a player in the Tanzanian women’s league, reflecting her growing influence in East African football.

A key player for the Rwanda women’s national team, Mukandayisenga has built an impressive career across the region. Before joining Yanga Princess, she played for Rayon Sports WFC during the 2023–24 season, where she made a strong impact after joining from Inyemera WFC in Gicumbi.

At Rayon Sports, she finished as the league’s top scorer and helped the club secure a domestic double, winning both the league title and the Peace Cup.

Her move to Wuhan Jiangda WFC in China represents a significant milestone in her career and adds to the growing presence of East African women footballers in international leagues.
