The City of Kigali has temporarily closed the section of KN 4 Avenue between UTC and Centenary House to facilitate drainage works.
The closure, which began on Friday, August 14, is scheduled to continue until midnight on Saturday, August 15, before resuming on Monday, August 17, and running through midnight on Tuesday, August 18.
The affected section starts at the roundabout in the city centre and extends to Centenary House.
The City of Kigali has advised motorists to use alternative routes while the works are underway. Recommended routes include KN 2 Street–KN 81 Street and KN 6 Avenue–KN 6 Street.
Motorists have also been urged to exercise caution, follow directions from road workers and observe traffic signs around the work zone.
The temporary closure is intended to allow the drainage works to be carried out safely while keeping traffic moving through alternative routes.
