Rwandan entertainment journalist Murindahabi Iréné, popularly known as M. Iréné, has married Nishimwe Liliane in a star-studded ceremony held at Intare Arena in Gisozi, Kigali, on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The wedding followed the couple’s civil marriage on August 11 at Gishari Sector in Rwamagana District.
The ceremony brought together prominent figures from Rwanda’s media, music and entertainment industries, including Edouard Bamporiki, who served among Murindahabi’s senior representatives during the traditional wedding ceremony.
Among the celebrities who attended were musicians and media personalities Phil Peter, Rumaga, MC Nario, Rocky Kimomo, Chris Eazzy, Tito Kimenyi, Reagan Rugaju, Sam Zuby, Fally Merci and Mahoro Nasri.
Other notable guests included Coach Gael, Bruce Melodie, Fuadi, Tidjara Kabendera, Micky, Aga, Inkindi Aisha, DJ Crush, Judy, Tonalite, Dr Nsabi, Sankara and Gerard Mbabazi, alongside several other personalities.
The couple also celebrated their union in a religious ceremony at Kigali Christian Assembly Church in Gikondo, where they exchanged vows.
During the celebrations, Murindahabi introduced his first daughter, Uteterase Irera Murindahabi Vigzilla, to the wedding guests.
Murindahabi is among Rwanda’s best-known entertainment journalists and has built a substantial digital following through his YouTube channel, MI Empire, which has more than one million subscribers.
The wedding was streamed live on the MI Empire channel, giving his online audience an opportunity to follow the celebrations.
Murindahabi rose to prominence through his work at Isango Star and has also worked with Magic FM and Isibo TV.
Beyond journalism, he has been involved in artist management and talent development, having worked with artistes including Niyo Bosco and gospel singers Vestine and Dorcas.
