APR FC have appointed Moroccan fitness coach Fouzir Mohamed as part of efforts to strengthen their technical team ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Fouzir has already joined the military side and started work, replacing Chahid Mohamed, who previously served as the club’s fitness coach.
The new fitness coach is based in France, where he has been working, and brings experience from several countries, including Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Belgium and Gabon.
Fouzir holds a doctorate in physical conditioning and sports performance and is expected to oversee the players’ fitness and physical preparation as APR FC compete on both domestic and continental fronts.
His appointment comes amid concerns over the physical condition of some APR FC players, with the club looking to improve the squad’s fitness levels ahead of a demanding campaign.
APR FC are currently preparing for the new season, which will see them compete in the Rwanda Premier League and CAF Champions League, while also playing a series of pre-season friendlies.
The club will face Sudanese side Al Merrikh on Monday, August 17, at Kigali Pelé Stadium in a friendly scheduled for 6 p.m.
Fouzir’s arrival is part of APR FC’s preparations to ensure the squad is physically ready for the challenges of the upcoming season.
