Mukura Victory Sports have signed Ugandan midfielder Hussein Ssenoga on a two-year contract as the Huye-based club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 28-year-old joins Mukura from Uganda Premier League side Kitara FC, where he was an important player during the 2025/26 campaign. He is expected to add defensive strength, work rate and experience to Mukura’s midfield.

Ssenoga previously played for Ugandan clubs Express FC and Lugazi FC before joining Kitara.

He has already featured for Mukura in pre-season, making his first appearance in a friendly against Bugesera FC on Saturday.

His arrival is part of Mukura’s wider squad rebuilding under new Serbian head coach Momcilo Medic, who has been tasked with assembling a competitive team for the new campaign.

Mukura have also signed goalkeeper Leandre Ndagijimana from Gasogi United, Telesphore Niyonizeye and Abumuremyi from AS Muhanga, Ugandan striker Freedom Mungudit from Lugazi FC, midfielder Olivier Dusabimana from Unity FC and Sadjati Niyonkuru from Etincelles FC.

The club has retained midfielder Justin Irumva on a two-year extension and Agyenim Boateng Mensah on a one-year deal.

Mukura have also promoted three players from their youth setup—Kennedy Tuyishime, Ashirafu Ndagijimana and Jean Pierre Ishimwe—to the senior squad.

The club’s preparations come ahead of the 2026/27 season, which will begin with the Turbo King Super Cup. Mukura will be hoping the squad overhaul can help them mount a stronger challenge for honours in the new campaign.
