Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz has arrived in Kigali ahead of the “Diamond Platnumz Experience,” a major concert scheduled for Saturday, August 29, at the BK Arena parking lot.
The Bongo Flava star arrived at Kigali International Airport on Friday evening with his entourage, ahead of his return to the Rwandan stage. The concert is among the major entertainment events closing out August in Kigali.
Diamond will headline a line-up featuring leading Rwandan artists Bruce Melodie, Ish Kevin and Nel Ngabo, alongside Ugandan singer Etania and Rwandan DJ Marnaud.
The Kigali show is part of Diamond’s wider 2026 touring schedule, following performances across Tanzania and other countries.
The concert will be hosted by Michael Sengazi and Rocky Try.
Diamond’s return marks his first performance in Rwanda since 2023, when he performed during the Giants of Africa Festival and later appeared at the Trace Awards & Festival.
The concert is expected to attract music fans from Rwanda and across the region, adding to a busy final weekend of August entertainment in Kigali.
