The National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) has released a district-based transport schedule for boarding students returning to school for the new academic term.

The students will travel from September 3 to 6, with classes set to begin on September 7.

The schedule groups students according to the districts where their schools are located, with buses departing from designated points on different days.

On September 3, transport will cover students from Ruhango and Gisagara in the Southern Province, Ngororero in the Western Province, Musanze in the Northern Province, and Nyagatare and Gatsibo in the Eastern Province.

Students from Nyanza, Kamonyi, Nyabihu, Rubavu, Burera, Rwamagana and Kayonza will travel on September 4.

The September 5 schedule covers Huye, Nyamagabe, Karongi, Rutsiro, Rulindo, Gakenke, Ngoma and Kirehe.

On September 6, buses will transport students from Muhanga, Nyaruguru, Rusizi, Nyamasheke, Gicumbi and Bugesera, along with students attending boarding schools in Kigali’s Nyarugenge, Gasabo and Kicukiro districts.

Students leaving Kigali or connecting through the city to schools in other provinces will board buses at Kigali Pele Stadium.

NESA said the stadium gates will close at 3 p.m., urging students to arrive early and follow their assigned schedules.

Parents have also been asked to provide students with transport money and ensure they leave home in time to reach the departure points.

Students have been instructed to travel in their school uniforms and comply with the arrangements issued by NESA.

The schedule is aimed at organising the movement of boarding students and ensuring they reach their schools before the new term begins.
