Four Rwandan personalities including singer Butera Knowless, former Miss Rwanda Mutesi Jolly, choreographer Sherrie Silver and comedian Clapton Kibonge have been nominated for the 2026 Zikomo Africa & Caribbean Awards, scheduled to take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on December 9.
Knowless is nominated for Best Zikomo Music Video of the Year for her song Ntacyo, which was released in December 2025. The video was produced by Meddy Saleh and filmed in Dar es Salaam.
Mutesi Jolly, who was crowned Miss Rwanda in 2016, has received two nominations: Best Zikomo Inspirational Personality of the Year and Best Zikomo Fashionable Celebrity of the Year.
Silver is also nominated in two categories: Best Zikomo Impact Woman of the Year and Best Zikomo Choreographer of the Year.
Clapton Kibonge, who is known for his work in comedy and film, is competing for Best Zikomo Content Creator East Africa of the Year.
The Zikomo Africa & Caribbean Awards are annual awards organised by Zambia-based Zikomo Awards Organization to recognise and promote outstanding African talent and achievements.
The 2026 edition will feature 90 awards across seven categories covering music, film and television, media, fashion, investment, literature, leadership and social impact.
Voting opened on September 5 and will run until October 30, ahead of the awards ceremony in December.
