APR BBC has extended the contract of American point guard Leonard Craig Randall II for another two years following an impressive first season with the Rwandan basketball champions.
Randall II, 30, joined APR BBC in February 2026 and played a key role in helping the Army-sponsored club win the Rwanda Basketball League title for the fourth consecutive time. His performances also earned him the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
In 13 games for APR BBC, Randall II scored 317 points, collected 47 rebounds, recorded 59 assists and made 22 steals.
He averaged 32.6 minutes, 24.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
Beyond his performances with APR BBC, Randall II also represented RSSB Tigers during the 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL) season. He helped the team win the competition and was named the tournament’s MVP.
During his eight BAL appearances with RSSB Tigers, Randall II scored 289 points, grabbed 31 rebounds, provided 37 assists and made 14 steals.
He also played for RSSB Tigers at the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, helping the team reach the semi-finals before finishing fourth among the six participating teams.
The contract extension comes shortly after Randall II signed with Roc Nation Sports (RNS) and Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI), the sports agency associated with rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z, which will represent him and manage his professional interests.
Randall II has previously played for several NBA G League teams, including Long Island Nets, Iowa Wolves, Rip City Remix and Wisconsin Herd. He has also played for Adelaide 36ers in Australia, Cholet Basket in France and Ningbo Rockets in China.
In 2020, Randall II entered the NBA Draft but was not selected.
APR BBC has also strengthened its roster ahead of the new season, recently signing Hubert Sage Kwizera from Patriots BBC. The club is also reportedly interested in bringing back Antino Alverazes Jackson Jr., who currently plays for RSSB Tigers, as well as Garba Chingka Kennedy, who previously played for Patriots BBC.
