Rwanda earned more than Rwf14 billion from exports of agricultural and livestock products over five days, with 9,656 tonnes of produce shipped to international markets between September 28 and October 2, 2026.
Figures from the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) show that agricultural products generated the largest share of the earnings, bringing in $5.54 million from 7,137 tonnes of exports.
Coffee was the second-largest earner, with 609 tonnes generating $1.66 million, while 400 tonnes of tea exports brought in $1.1 million.
Fruit exports totalled 718 tonnes and generated $674,055, while 285 tonnes of livestock products earned $558,518.
Vegetable exports stood at 489 tonnes, generating $508,124, while 18 tonnes of indayo earned $86,857.
The products were exported to markets including China, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, India, South Africa and other African countries.
