ADEPR has announced an ambitious 25-year development plan that includes building a university and a modern stadium aimed at nurturing young talents across the country.
The revelation was made ADEPR lead pastor, Ndayizeye Isaïe, during a press briefing held on December 2, 2025.
Pastor Ndayizeye reflected on ADEPR’s 85-year journey and highlighted the significant progress achieved in both spiritual growth and socio-economic empowerment of church members.
He emphasized that the next phase will focus on transformative projects designed to improve the wellbeing of families within the church.
“Our primary goal is to uplift Christians holistically,” he said. “We want to build a church that goes beyond being an institution, one that cares for families, supports their wellbeing, and implements projects that directly benefit members.”
Among the major projects in the pipeline is the expansion of ADEPR Nyamata Hospital, which has recently been elevated to the status of a university teaching hospital. The church also plans to strengthen its community-based health insurance scheme known as UBF.
“A few years ago, we initiated a health insurance program called UBF, which now supports many families,” he explained. “Our vision is to expand it into a comprehensive insurance institution that goes beyond health coverage to include property insurance, serving not only ADEPR members but also other denominations.”
Pastor Ndayizeye further revealed plans to construct model schools, noting that ADEPR currently operates 316 schools nationwide but intends to upgrade some into centers of excellence as part of the broader plan to establish a university.
He also confirmed that the church will begin building a stadium next year in Kigali.
“The stadium will support talent development among children,” he said. “We run a football-based evangelism program across 50 sites in the country, involving about 7,000 children who gather every Saturday to play and receive Bible teachings. The stadium will help nurture these talents.”
Over the past 25 years, ADEPR reports notable achievements, including supporting 233 vulnerable families with home renovation or construction. In 2024 alone, the church provided small livestock to 11,000 beneficiaries.
The church further highlights that its savings and lending groups have accumulated investments worth 4 billion Rwandan francs, while 27,000 people have received support to access health insurance.
