The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has announced the temporary closure of its headquarters building starting May 5, 2026, as it undergoes renovation works aimed at improving service delivery and operational efficiency.

The announcement was made on Monday, May 4, 2026, through an official statement from the institution.

RDB said that all offices and institutions operating from the building will temporarily relocate to alternative premises, with detailed arrangements for service delivery to be communicated to the public in due course.

During the transition period, One Stop Centre services will be relocated to the Ministry of Infrastructure (MININFRA) building in Kimihurura along KG 1 Road, Kigali.

The institution further noted that several services will continue to be delivered digitally, with staff maintaining uninterrupted support to ensure continuity and convenience for investors and the public.

The RDB headquarters, located in Gishushu, Gasabo District, was completed in 2022 and officially became operational in October 2023 following the institution’s relocation on October 31, 2023.

The 12-storey facility also hosts key government institutions, including the Rwanda Housing Authority (RHA), the Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board (RMB), and the Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA), serving as a central hub for investment facilitation and public service delivery.
