Alyn Sano has released a new audio and visual single titled Ntibikunda, adding a fresh entry to her evolving catalogue of Afro-pop and soul-inspired music.
The song was officially released on Monday, May 11, 2026, and recorded strong early traction, surpassing 11,000 YouTube views within five hours of publication.
The new release marks a shift in tone from her recent upbeat and dance-heavy productions such as Turn it Up, as she explores a softer, more emotional sound centered on love and attachment.
The track was produced by Madebeats, who recently returned to Rwanda in January 2026 after working abroad, contributing to a growing wave of locally based music production talent.
The video was directed by acclaimed cinematographer IbraCams, known for his work with major African stars including Davido, Asake, and Burna Boy.
The visuals feature Burundian-born model Ken Owen, who has also lived in the United Kingdom, adding an international touch to the production.
Ntibikunda carries a romantic narrative in which Alyn Sano expresses emotional struggle over letting go of a loved one, with the chorus reflecting a plea rooted in attachment and vulnerability.
Born Shengero Aline Sano, the artist has built her reputation across Pop, Afro-pop, and Soul genres, gaining wider recognition after finishing in the top 8 of The Voice Afrique Francophone, a milestone that helped position her among Rwanda’s most visible contemporary music exports.
