Rwandan singer The Ben has announced plans to release a new single next week, while insisting that he does not feel compelled to put out music simply because other artists are doing so.

The artist made the remarks on Friday during a press conference held alongside Bruce Melodie ahead of their upcoming 2026 Summer Country Tour, a nationwide concert series set to begin later this month.

Asked whether he intended to release a song before the tour, particularly after Bruce Melodie recently unveiled his latest track, Detail, The Ben dismissed suggestions that artists should feel pressured to match each other’s releases.

“I am not an artist who works under pressure to release songs,” he said, adding that his decisions are guided by timing and artistic readiness rather than competition.

The singer, however, revealed that fans can expect a new track titled Inshallah next week.

The announcement comes months after The Ben and Bruce Melodie shared the stage at BK Arena on New Year’s Day, a performance that followed the release of their respective singles, Igisamagwe and Pom Pom.

The pair are now preparing to take their collaboration on the road through the 2026 Summer Country Tour, which will run from June 13 to July 4.

The tour will kick off in Musanze before moving to Nyagatare, Bugesera and Rubavu, where the final show will be held.

Organizers have confirmed performances by Kitoko, Bwiza and Ugandan music veteran Jose Chameleone, while Bruce Melodie hinted that additional guest artists could be announced in the coming weeks.

The two artists recently shared the stage at the New Year Groove concert held at BK Arena on January 1, 2026.
The Ben said he does not release music under pressure to keep up with other artists.
