Nsengiyumva highlights growing Rwanda-Lesotho cooperation at governance conference

Prime Minister Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva on Monday addressed a governance conference in Lesotho via video link, underscoring the growing partnership between Rwanda and Lesotho and the importance of knowledge-sharing in advancing development.

The conference was officially opened by Lesotho Prime Minister Samuel Matekane and brought together leaders and policymakers to discuss governance and development issues.

In his address, Nsengiyumva reflected on Rwanda’s governance and development journey, stressing that cooperation between Rwanda and Lesotho continues to expand and strengthen.

“We highly appreciate the exchanges of ideas and expertise that have taken place between our two countries in recent years, including participation in the Leadership Retreat in Lesotho, as they demonstrate our shared commitment to learning from one another and sharing best practices,” he said.

The Prime Minister said Rwanda remains committed to deepening its cooperation with Lesotho to ensure that the partnership translates into tangible benefits for citizens of both countries.

His remarks highlighted the growing ties between Kigali and Maseru, with both nations increasingly collaborating on governance, leadership and development initiatives.
