The Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB) has announced the second round of the National Beach Volleyball Championship, set to take place in Kayonza District along the shores of Lake Muhazi at Falcon Golf & Country Club.

The competition will run from June 26 to June 28, 2026, featuring both men’s and women’s categories, with teams composed of two players each in line with international Beach Volleyball regulations.

The championship is part of FRVB’s official calendar and is also recognized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), allowing participating players to earn international ranking points.

The first round of the competition was held at the same venue in December 2025, where Akan Paul and Gisubizo Merci—representing APR VC and REG VC—won the men’s title, while the women’s crown went to Munezero Valentine and Uwiringiyimana Albertine of APR WVC.

The opening round featured 14 men’s teams (28 players) and 10 women’s teams (20 players), reflecting the growing participation and competitiveness of the discipline in Rwanda.

The upcoming Round 2 is expected to further intensify competition as teams battle for national ranking points and improved positioning ahead of international beach volleyball events.
