Rwanda earned more than Rwf11.8 billion from agricultural and livestock exports during a five-day period in July 2026, reflecting the continued growth of the country’s agro-export sector.
According to the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB), the revenue was generated from exports made between July 6 and 10, 2026, as recorded in the institution’s weekly export performance report.
During the period, Rwanda exported 9,101 tonnes of agricultural and livestock products, including coffee, tea, vegetables, fruits, flowers, and other commodities.
Other agricultural and livestock products accounted for the largest share of export earnings, generating Rwf5.8 billion. Tea exports followed with Rwf2.4 billion, while coffee brought in Rwf1.7 billion.
Vegetable exports generated Rwf1.29 billion, fruits earned Rwf492.1 million, and flower exports contributed Rwf32.5 million.
The products were exported to several international markets, including China, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, France, Nigeria, and other African countries.
The latest performance underscores the growing role of agriculture exports in Rwanda’s economy, with the sector continuing to serve as an important source of foreign exchange and a driver of market expansion for local producers.
