Organisers said the Africa Content Creator Awards aim to recognise and promote individuals who use social media platforms and digital technologies to inform, educate, entertain and create new opportunities in the creative economy.

The awards also seek to connect African creators with brands, partners and audiences across the continent, while highlighting the growing influence of digital content in shaping culture and communication.

Rwanda’s hosting of the awards marks the first time the Great Lakes region will welcome the event, a milestone expected to boost the country’s creative sector, promote international events tourism and showcase Rwandan talent on the African stage.
