Guinean outside hitter Binta Fatoumata Bah has completed a move to Azerbaijan club DH Volleyball Baku after two successful seasons with Rwanda’s Kepler WVC.
The Azerbaijani side announced Binta’s signing on Monday night, adding the talented attacker to its squad following her impressive performances in the Rwanda Volleyball League.
Since joining Kepler, Binta has been one of the club’s most influential players, known for her powerful attacks, consistency at the net and effective serving. She played a key role in helping the team establish itself as a competitive force in Rwandan volleyball.
In her first season, Binta guided Kepler to the playoffs during the club’s debut campaign in the Rwanda Volleyball League. The team reached the semi-finals before missing out on a place in the final and later lost the third-place playoff to RRA WVC.
Kepler raised its level in the following season, reaching the league final after defeating defending champions Police WVC in the semi-finals. The team also became the only club to beat APR WVC during the regular season.
Despite Kepler’s defeat to APR WVC in the final, Binta’s outstanding individual performance was recognised as she was named the league’s Best Attacker.
She also helped Kepler achieve success in other competitions, contributing to the team’s bronze medal finish at the Heroes Cup and triumphs in the BK Arena Volleyball Cup 2025 and the Medwell Initiative Pre-Season Volleyball Tournament 2025.
Binta’s move to DH Volleyball Baku represents another step in her career after making a strong impact during her two-year stay in Rwanda.
