Rwanda’s Inspector General of Police, CG Felix Namuhoranye, has held talks with Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Abedrabbuh Maaitah, Director of Jordan’s Public Security Directorate, as the two countries seek to strengthen cooperation in policing and public security.
The meeting, held at the Rwanda National Police headquarters in Kacyiru, brought together senior police officials from both countries to discuss ways of enhancing collaboration between the two institutions.
According to the Rwanda National Police, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in policing and public security, while building a stronger foundation for information sharing, coordination and joint efforts between the two law enforcement agencies.
Maj. Gen. Maaitah’s visit comes amid growing bilateral relations between Rwanda and Jordan, with both countries expanding cooperation in areas including security, trade, agriculture, investment and health.
The two countries have previously signed cooperation agreements in various sectors and continued to promote exchanges between their security institutions, including professional training and high-level engagements.
The meeting in Kigali was attended by officials from the police forces of both countries.
