Rwanda midfielder Mugisha Bonheur ‘Casemiro’ has made his debut for Saudi Arabian club Al-Hazem Saudi Club, starting in their 2-2 pre-season draw against Tunisian giants Espérance de Tunis.
Mugisha, who recently signed for Al-Hazem, was named in the starting XI for the friendly match played on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Espérance’s Chedly Zouiten Stadium.
The game marked a memorable return for the Rwandan international, who faced a familiar opponent as Espérance is one of the clubs he previously represented.
The two teams shared the spoils after a competitive encounter that ended 2-2, as Al-Hazem concluded their pre-season preparations ahead of the new Saudi Pro League campaign.
The match was Al-Hazem’s fourth and final friendly before the start of the 2026/27 league season, with the club set to open their campaign against Abha on August 13, 2026.
Mugisha’s arrival at Al-Hazem represents a significant step in his career, as the midfielder looks to establish himself in one of Asia’s most competitive football leagues.
