Marines FC have strengthened their attack with the signing of Malian striker Naman Keita from Tunisian side Olympique Béja on a two-year contract.
The 24-year-old forward joins the Rubavu-based club as a replacement for Mbonyumwami Taiba as Marines prepare for the 2026/27 season.
Keita previously played for Binga FC and AS Real Bamako in Mali before moving to Tunisia in 2024. He made appearances for Olympique Béja in the Tunisian top flight during the 2025/26 season.
The striker is expected to provide additional attacking options for Marines, who finished eighth in the 2025/26 Rwanda Premier League.
Coach Yves Rwasamanzi’s side has been active in the transfer market, bringing in several players as part of preparations for the new campaign. New arrivals include Sindi Paul Jesus from Rayon Sports, Kabera Bonheur, Iraguha Awad, Ntirushwa Aimé, Twizeyimana Innocent and Ishimwe Fiston.
Niyibizi Ramadhan and Ishimwe Pierre have also joined the club on loan from APR FC.
Keita’s arrival adds an international dimension to Marines’ attacking options as the club seeks to improve on its league performance in the upcoming season.
