APR BBC and Patriots BBC have reached the Rwanda Basketball League final after winning their respective semi-final series against RSSB Tigers and REG BBC.

Both semi-final series went down to the decisive fifth game, with the final tickets secured on Friday night, August 14, 2026, at Petit Stade in Remera.

APR BBC booked its place in the final for the fourth consecutive year after a commanding 105-78 victory over RSSB Tigers.

The Army side dominated from the opening quarter, taking a 32-17 lead as Craig Randall led APR’s scoring.

Tigers responded in the second quarter, with Tarik Bey helping reduce the deficit, but APR remained in control and went into halftime leading 47-40.

APR regained its dominance after the break, with Shema Osborn helping the team pull further ahead. The third quarter ended with APR leading 80-63.

The experienced APR side maintained control in the final quarter, preventing Tigers from mounting a comeback and eventually sealing a 27-point victory.

Meanwhile, Patriots BBC secured the second final spot after edging REG BBC 89-84 in another tightly contested fifth game.

APR and Patriots will meet in the championship final starting Sunday, August 16.

The final will be played in a best-of-seven series, with the first team to win four games crowned Rwanda Basketball League champions.

The champions will also represent Rwanda in the Basketball Africa League (BAL), following RSSB Tigers’ recent triumph in the continental competition.
