Rwandan social media personality Uwizeyimana Enock, popularly known as Kagarara, has surpassed one million followers on Instagram, becoming the eighth Rwandan to reach the milestone on the platform.
Kagarara has built a growing international audience through fitness content, entertaining videos and collaborations with other social media creators.
His popularity surged after he met American influencer Ashton Hall about three months ago. The two later collaborated on various projects, including a tour across five African countries, where they created content documenting their activities and travels.
During the tour, Hall gave Kagarara the nickname “Ashton Small”, which quickly gained traction among his followers and became a recognisable part of his online identity.
Since then, Kagarara’s following has continued to grow, with his fitness videos and collaborations attracting audiences beyond Rwanda.
By reaching one million Instagram followers, Kagarara joins other Rwandan personalities who have achieved the milestone, including Bruce Melodie, Shaddyboo, Miss Mutesi Jolly, Meddy, The Ben and Israel Mbonyi.
The milestone marks another step in Kagarara’s rapid rise from a locally known fitness and social media personality to a creator with an increasingly international audience.
