Kiyovu Sports and Rwanda national team midfielder Hakim Hamiss is preparing to marry his long-time girlfriend, Walda.

Walda shared the news on her Instagram account after receiving flowers and a gift from Hamiss, accompanied by a card bearing a romantic message.

In her post, she described Hamiss as her future husband and thanked him for the thoughtful gift and affectionate words.

“I love you so much, my love. May God continue to grant you a long life and protect the beautiful heart you have. May He continue to guide you and support you in your work, and may you keep progressing and achieving even greater things in life,” she wrote.

Her message expressed her affection for the footballer and wished him continued success in his personal life and career.

Hamiss plays in midfield for Kiyovu Sports, having joined the club from Gasogi United in June 2026 on a two-year contract.

He helped Kiyovu Sports win the 2026 FERWAFA Super Cup, scoring the decisive goal in their 1-0 victory over Police FC in the final on August 30.

The midfielder was also included in Rwanda’s provisional squad of 28 players announced in September 2026 ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches. He later featured for the Amavubi in a friendly against Kenya in Kigali.
