Rwandan journalist and fashion personality Christelle Kabagire is representing Rwanda in the third season of Secret Story Afrique, a French-language reality television competition featuring contestants from across Africa.

Kabagire, known for her entertainment programmes on Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA), entered the competition on Saturday, October 17, 2026, alongside 15 other contestants from different African countries.

The show challenges participants to protect their own secrets while trying to uncover those of their fellow contestants.

At the start of the competition, Kabagire formed an alliance with Mistourah, a contestant representing Benin. The two agreed to pretend to be mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, a fictional relationship they hope will mislead other participants and help them keep their actual secrets hidden.

Kabagire’s participation has drawn support from Rwandans following the show, with viewers looking to her appearance as an opportunity to raise Rwanda’s profile among audiences across French-speaking Africa.

Beyond her journalism career, Kabagire is known for her involvement in fashion, an experience that could help her navigate the social and strategic aspects of the competition.

She follows France Mpundu, who represented Rwanda in the second season and reached the final stage of the show.

The third season will test Kabagire’s ability to keep her secret while discovering those held by other contestants. The winner is expected to receive a grand prize of 20 million CFA francs.
