Hit film ‘Hurts Harder’ confirmed for third season after surge in viewership
The popular Rwandan film Hurts Harder, one of the most-watched local productions in 2025, is set to return with a third season following strong demand from audiences.
The development was confirmed on April 20, 2026, after Wilson Misago of Zacu Entertainment—operators of Zacu TV—and producer Mizero Yves signed an agreement to proceed with the new season.
In a joint announcement shared on social media, the producers said the decision was driven by overwhelming audience demand, adding that the new episodes are expected to be released soon.
The series follows the story of Shemaryimanzi Dwayne, known as Tete, a young man struggling with self-esteem issues related to his appearance. He forms a romantic connection over the phone with Irakoze Ariane Vanessa, known as Kate, but avoids meeting her in person, instead sending another man to impersonate him.
Despite repeated warnings from her friends—Olga (Irakoze Eliane) and Sacha (Iradukunda Nadine)—Kate continues the relationship, only to later discover the deception, including an intimate encounter with the impersonator.
The film has built a strong following through Zacu TV, a platform dedicated to Rwandan productions, and is also accessible via Canal Plus decoders, cementing its place among the country’s most talked-about series.
