Ambassador Bakuramutsa presents credentials to Slovenian President

Rwanda’s Ambassador Urujeni Bakuramutsa has presented her letters of credence to the President of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, formally accrediting her as Rwanda’s envoy to the Central European country.

The ceremony took place on June 15, 2026, at the Presidential Palace in Ljubljana.

Following the presentation, both sides held discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in key sectors, including trade, investment, and broader economic development.

They also underscored the importance of deepening diplomatic engagement and building on existing ties between Rwanda and Slovenia.

Relations between the two countries are anchored in diplomacy, trade, education, and multilateral cooperation, with both sides expressing interest in further expanding collaboration based on shared values and mutual interests.

Ambassador Bakuramutsa, who is based in Geneva, Switzerland, also serves as Rwanda’s envoy to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, and the Holy See (Vatican).

She additionally represents Rwanda at United Nations offices in Geneva and Vienna, as well as other international organizations.
