Rwandan comedian and actor Nsabimana Eric, popularly known as Dogiteri Nsabii, has ventured into music, releasing his debut song titled “Urugendo,” which he says tells part of his personal life story.
Nsabii is among the entertainers who have spent years in Rwanda’s creative industry, particularly in comedy and film. As he approaches his 10th year in the entertainment industry, he has decided to expand his artistic career by adding music to his creative work.
Speaking to IGIHE, Nsabimana Eric said “Urugendo” is more than an attempt to explore music. He explained that the song is based on his personal experiences and the journey he has taken since he began pursuing a career in the arts.
The comedian said the song reflects some of the important moments and experiences that have shaped his life and career. However, he deliberately left out some details because he did not want to reveal every aspect of his private life.
For Nsabii, entering music is another way of expressing his creativity and communicating messages to his audience after years of building a name through comedy and acting.
The release of “Urugendo” marks a new chapter in his artistic career as he seeks to explore music alongside the comedy and film projects that have made him known to Rwandan audiences.
Nsabii has not abandoned his previous artistic activities, but his move into music gives him another platform through which he can tell stories and share experiences from his journey with his fans.
