Kepler BBC secured a major victory over Basketball Africa League (BAL) champions RSSB Tigers BBC, while APR BBC condemned newly promoted Inspired Generation to a winless Rwanda Basketball League campaign after a dominant 121-38 victory.

The two matches, played on Friday night at Petit Stade in Remera, were part of the 13th round of the 2026 Rwanda Basketball League season.

Kepler produced one of the biggest results of the season after overcoming RSSB Tigers 77-73 in a tightly contested encounter.

RSSB Tigers started the game strongly, winning the opening quarter 20-16 and maintaining their advantage at halftime after taking the second quarter 22-21 to lead 41-38.

However, Kepler BBC turned the game around in the third quarter, outscoring their opponents 18-12 to move ahead 56-53 heading into the final period.

Despite pressure from RSSB Tigers, Kepler held their ground in the final quarter, with both teams battling closely. Kepler won the period 21-20 to secure a four-point victory.

Foreign stars Chad Bowie Jordan and Newby Jabulani Jabari were instrumental for Kepler, each contributing 20 points to help their side overcome one of the league’s strongest teams.

Meanwhile, APR BBC continued their impressive form with a commanding 121-38 win over Inspired Generation.

Israel Otobo was the standout performer for APR, recording a double-double with 20 points and 20 rebounds, while also contributing two assists, two blocks and three steals. Mukama Jean Victor added 18 points, Uwitonze Justin scored 16, and Isaiah Briscoe contributed 14.

The defeat brought an end to Inspired Generation’s difficult debut season in the top flight, with the team finishing bottom of the table after losing all 16 of their matches.

The promoted side managed 16 points, scored 889 points and conceded 1,583, leaving them with a points difference of -694.

Financial constraints were among the biggest challenges for Inspired Generation, limiting their ability to build a competitive squad compared to fellow promoted team EAUR BBC, which has already secured five victories from 14 matches and remains in contention to avoid relegation.

In the league standings, APR BBC remain top with 25 points from 13 games, followed by Patriots BBC on 25 points from 14 matches. REG BBC are third with 23 points, while UGB occupy fourth place with 21 points.

Kepler BBC are fifth with 20 points, RSSB Tigers sixth with 19 points, EAUR BBC seventh with 19 points, AZOMCO BBC eighth with 18 points, and Inspired Generation sit at the bottom with 16 points.

The league action continues on Sunday at Petit Stade in Remera, with Kepler BBC facing EAUR BBC at 3:30 pm, RSSB Tigers taking on UGB at 6:00 pm, and REG BBC meeting Patriots BBC at 8:30 pm.
