Rwandan actress Nyambo Jesca has opened up about a painful past relationship, revealing how she discovered her former partner cheating on her with her close friend, an experience that brought their relationship to an abrupt end.
The popular film star shared the account during an interview with journalist Babu Rwanda on the “Rua Rwanda” YouTube channel, where she reflected on real-life experiences that echoed roles she had previously portrayed on screen.
Nyambo explained that although she once acted in a storyline involving infidelity, she later faced a similar ordeal in her personal life. She recounted walking in on her partner and her close friend in an intimate situation, describing the moment as deeply shocking and difficult to process.
She said she froze for a few seconds, struggling to comprehend what she was seeing, before covering them with a bed sheet to avoid looking at the scene.
She noted that the incident immediately marked the end of the relationship, despite the emotional bond she had with her partner at the time.
The 28-year-old actress said she has since moved on and is currently in a new relationship with a partner based abroad, who has helped her heal from the experience.
Nyambo Jesca is among Rwanda’s well-known film actresses, having featured in productions such as The Message, Ibanga and Mwenedata.
