Police FC have appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) Diane Ntakirutimana as their new Secretary General, replacing Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Claudette Umutoni, who served in the role for three years.
The club announced the appointment on Tuesday as part of its ongoing restructuring ahead of the 2026/27 season.
SP Ntakirutimana is not new to sports administration, having previously served as secretary general of Rwanda Police volleyball teams, both men’s and women’s sides. She now moves into football administration, where she will oversee the club’s secretariat operations.
Her appointment comes as Police FC continue to make changes following an inconsistent campaign last season, which saw the club part ways with head coach Ben Moussa despite a promising start.
The club has yet to begin pre-season preparations for the new season but has already made several moves to strengthen its structure, including the appointment of Rutsindura Antoine “Mabombe” as technical director and the recruitment of new players.
Police FC have signed Moussa Limane, Keffa Tangara, Mzungu Japhet, Iddrisu Shaibu, Rushema Chris, Byishimo Valua and Rugwiro Kevin as part of their squad reinforcement.
The club has also secured contract extensions for several important players, including captain Nsabimana Eric “Zidane”, Iradukunda Simeon, Niyongira Patience and David Chimezie.
The latest administrative changes are part of Police FC’s efforts to build a stronger foundation as they prepare for the new season.
