Rayon Sports has changed the venue for its annual “Rayon Day” event, moving it from Amahoro Stadium to Kigali Pele Stadium in Nyamirambo, while maintaining the original date of July 18, 2026.

The club announced the change on Friday evening, citing adjustments to the event arrangements but without providing specific reasons for the venue switch.

Rayon Sports confirmed that all planned activities, including the programme and schedule, will proceed as initially planned, with fans expected to gather for the club’s traditional pre-season celebration.

The change has also led to a revision of ticket prices. Fans will pay Rwf5,000 for regular seats, Rwf10,000 for covered seats, Rwf50,000 for VIP tickets, and Rwf100,000 for VVIP access.

The club had previously announced higher ticket categories when the event was still scheduled for Amahoro Stadium, including a Rwf1.5 million Sky Box package.

Rayon Day is a major event on the club’s calendar, serving as a platform to unveil new players, introduce both the men’s and women’s teams ahead of the new season, and engage supporters through a friendly match.

This year’s highlight will be a friendly encounter between Rayon Sports and Kenyan champions Gor Mahia FC.

The Blues have strengthened their squad with 13 new signings during the ongoing transfer window and are currently preparing in Gicumbi as they look ahead to Rayon Day, the CECAFA Kagame Cup, and the 2026/27 season.
