The Chief of Defence Staff of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), Gen Mubarakh Muganga, presided over the closing ceremony of a brigade-level military training course held at the Gabiro Military Training Centre in Gatsibo District, Eastern Province.

The soldiers who completed the course had spent five months and one week undergoing the Advanced Infantry Course, a specialised programme designed to strengthen the capabilities of ground combat units. The training officially concluded on Saturday, 6 December 2025.

In his remarks, Gen Muganga congratulated the graduating troops, emphasising that the skills they acquired are essential for safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and responding effectively to any threats to national security.

He noted that beyond tactical and operational skills, the course also reinforced the discipline that defines the RDF, which he described as a key pillar guiding soldiers to uphold the organisation’s values, maintain professionalism, and fulfil their duties with excellence.

Gen Muganga urged the soldiers to apply both the knowledge and discipline gained during training as they execute their responsibilities in service to the nation.
