Rwanda earned more than Rwf19 billion from agricultural and livestock exports in just five days, according to the latest figures from the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB).
The country exported 9,902 metric tonnes of agricultural and livestock products between August 10 and 14, 2026, generating $12.95 million in export revenue.
Coffee was the biggest earner, with 816 tonnes exported for $5.51 million.
Animal and other agricultural products followed, with 7,404 tonnes generating $5.11 million, while 437 tonnes of tea earned $1.27 million.
Rwanda also exported 576 tonnes of vegetables worth $563,649 and 443 tonnes of fruits valued at $472,759.
Five tonnes of flowers generated $30,938, while other agricultural products weighing 220 tonnes brought in $349,300.
The exports were destined for markets including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, India, France, the United Arab Emirates, China and several African countries.
The latest figures highlight the continued contribution of agriculture and livestock products to Rwanda’s export earnings as the country seeks to increase production, diversify markets and raise the value of its agricultural exports.
