Rwanda has joined security officials and technology companies from around the world at Milipol Qatar 2026 in Doha, an international exhibition showcasing advanced technologies and equipment for national security and public safety.
The 16th edition of the exhibition opened on October 20 and runs until October 22 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in Qatar.
Rwanda is represented by two senior police officers, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Oscar Sakindi and ACP Eli Mberabagabo, who are participating alongside delegates from various countries and companies specialising in security equipment and technology.
Held every two years, Milipol Qatar provides a platform for showcasing innovations in national security, public protection and law enforcement.
The exhibition covers a range of areas, including surveillance technologies, police equipment, crime prevention, counterterrorism tools and other solutions designed to help security agencies respond to emerging threats.
More than 270 companies from Qatar and other countries are participating, presenting technologies and equipment such as drones, surveillance systems, cybersecurity solutions and tools for disaster and risk management.
This year’s exhibition also coincides with an international conference in Doha examining the role of artificial intelligence in security, including how the technology can help law enforcement agencies prevent crime and address emerging challenges.
The event offers participating countries and organisations an opportunity to exchange expertise, explore new technologies and strengthen cooperation between security agencies and manufacturers of security equipment.
