Rwanda’s U23 national team has travelled to Juba, South Sudan, ahead of the second leg of their preliminary Olympic qualifying tie against South Sudan.

The Amavubi U23 squad left Rwanda on Saturday, October 3, 2026, as preparations continue for the return match scheduled for Tuesday, October 6.

Rwanda go into the second leg with a strong advantage after securing a 3-0 victory over South Sudan in the first leg played in Kigali.

The result puts Rwanda in a favourable position as the team looks to complete the tie and advance in the preliminary qualifying campaign for the 2028 Olympic Games.

The return fixture in Juba will determine which side progresses after the two legs, with Rwanda seeking to protect its three-goal advantage away from home.
