RwandAir has strengthened its long-haul fleet with the arrival of a new Airbus A330-200, the first of five A330 aircraft planned to join the national carrier’s fleet.
The aircraft was received on Monday, August 24, 2026, as the airline continues to expand its capacity for international operations and respond to growing passenger demand.
RwandAir said the additional wide-body aircraft will increase its ability to serve long-haul routes while strengthening connectivity between Rwanda and destinations across Africa and beyond. The airline has previously confirmed plans to add an A330-200 to reinforce its long-haul operations.
The latest addition comes as RwandAir continues operating international services linking Kigali with destinations in Africa, Europe and other global markets. Flight-tracking data also shows its existing A330 aircraft operating services to destinations including London, Paris and Lagos.
The Airbus A330-200 is a wide-body aircraft designed for medium- and long-haul operations and is already part of RwandAir’s fleet.
RwandAir’s fleet expansion is aimed at increasing operational capacity, supporting the growth of its route network and improving connectivity between Rwanda and international markets.
The arrival of the aircraft marks another step in the airline’s efforts to strengthen its position as a regional and international carrier.
