Rwandan celebrities who acquired new cars in 2026

2026 has been a year of celebration for some Rwandan celebrities, with musicians, comedians and other entertainers acquiring new cars. Some bought the vehicles themselves, while others received them as gifts.

Dancer Titi Brown is among those who reached this milestone this year. He bought a BMW X1 SUV reportedly worth around Rwf40 million.

Titi Brown, whose real name is Ishimwe Thierry, rose to prominence through dance and music. This year, he released his song ‘Urare’. He said the car is one of the achievements he is proud of, having earned it through his work in the entertainment industry.

Singer Marina Deborah is another celebrity who received a car this year. Her partner, Yvan Muziki, gifted her a Mercedes-Benz on September 15, 2026.

The car is valued at more than Rwf35 million. Marina is one of Rwanda’s well-known female artists and has built her profile through several songs and other musical projects.

Rwandan singer France Mpundu also received a car from her husband, Moctar.

Moctar gifted France a BYD Tai 3, a vehicle valued at Rwf38 million. France Mpundu is known for songs including ‘Nzagutegereza’, ‘Nabikoze’, ‘Umutima’ and ‘Over’, which she recorded with Juno Kizigenza, among others. The gift came after she and Moctar welcomed their first child, a daughter.

Kagarara, also known as Ashton Small, was another celebrity to receive a car in July 2026.

Kagarara, who works in fitness and shares his activities on social media, while also pursuing a career in writing, received a Kia Sorento from American content creator Ashton Hall during his visit to Rwanda.

In addition to the car, Ashton Hall gave Kagarara US$5,000, worth more than Rwf7 million, to support his activities. The exact value of the Kia Sorento was not disclosed.

Mwitende Abdoulkarim, popularly known as Burikantu, bought a Mercedes-Benz C-Class C200 Kompressor, which he showed off on social media on February 8, 2026.

Burikantu is a well-known comedian, particularly for comedy content he creates with fellow comedian Buringuni. He did not disclose how much he paid for the Mercedes-Benz.

Uwase Muyango Claudine, who was named Miss Photogenic in 2019, also showed off her Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 on July 21, 2026.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 was manufactured in 2022, and Muyango fitted it with a personalised number plate bearing her name, “MUYANGO.”
