Two senior officers of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), Lt Col Pacifique Kanyandekwe and Maj John Muhikira, have graduated from the National Defence College in Karen, Kenya, marking the completion of advanced strategic military training.
The graduation ceremony, held on Thursday, brought together senior military officials from the region and highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen professional military education and regional defence cooperation.
Officials described the completion of the programme as a reflection of discipline, professionalism and the RDF’s continued investment in high-level military training aimed at enhancing leadership and operational effectiveness.
The achievement also reinforces Rwanda’s broader commitment to strengthening defence capacity and deepening cooperation in regional security frameworks.
The ceremony was attended by Brig Gen Ronald Rwivanga, Chief Executive Officer of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF), Brig Gen Andrew Nyamvumba, Commandant of the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College, and Col Celestin Kamanda, Defence Attaché at the Embassy of Rwanda in Kenya.
