Gospel music duo Vestine and Dorcas have announced the end of their professional relationship with Murindahabi Irene, popularly known as M Irene, who had managed their career since 2020.
In a statement released on Saturday, the duo said they had mutually agreed to terminate their partnership with MIE with immediate effect.
“After careful consideration and reflection, we have made the decision to end our partnership with MIE effective immediately,” they said.
The artists expressed appreciation to M Irene and his team, describing him as a mentor who played a key role in shaping and growing their music career over the past six years.
They noted that while they value the achievements and experiences shared, the time had come to pursue their career independently, guided by their own vision and values.
“We appreciate everything we achieved together and the good moments we shared,” the statement added. “However, at this time, it is important to continue our journey independently, guided by our vision, values, and the future we are building.”
Vestine and Dorcas also thanked their fans for continued support, saying the decision marks the beginning of a new chapter in their music journey, not a slowdown of their activities.
The duo began working with M Irene in 2020. Their partnership briefly faced challenges in 2021 over disagreements related to the management of their YouTube channel, before later being reconciled and resumed.
They rose to prominence in Rwanda’s gospel music scene through a series of widely popular songs that earned them regional and international recognition.
The split comes shortly after the release of their latest song, “Kisima,” in February 2026. Neither the artists nor M Irene has yet commented on the reasons behind the decision.
