Rwanda’s four representatives in the CAVB Men’s Club Championship 2026 have all secured qualification to the round of 16, as the continental competition moves into a decisive phase after four rounds of group-stage action.
APR VC, Police VC, Kepler VC and REG VC all booked their places in the knockout stage following strong performances at BK Arena, with one group match still remaining.
Police VC and APR VC have remained unbeaten so far, underlining Rwanda’s strong showing in the tournament, while Kepler VC and REG VC also advanced after solid group-stage campaigns.
Kepler VC suffered a 3-0 defeat to Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly SC, a record African champion, in a match they controlled across straight sets (25-15, 25-19, 25-20). Despite the loss, both teams from Group B progressed to the next round, with Al Ahly topping the group.
Police VC continued their impressive run with a fourth consecutive victory, defeating Ghana Army in straight sets (25-20, 25-20, 25-23), maintaining their unbeaten record.
APR VC were tested in a tightly contested five-set encounter against Nigeria Customs but held their nerve to win 3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 25-21, 24-26, 15-9), showcasing resilience in a high-pressure fixture.
REG VC delivered one of their strongest performances of the tournament, bouncing back from an early setback to defeat Atlético Clube do Mindelo of Cape Verde 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-13).
The group standings see APR VC, Police VC, Al Ahly SC and Port Autonome de Douala of Cameroon leading their respective pools, all with 12 points from four matches, although APR VC sits on 11 after a five-set win.
The final round of group-stage matches will be played on Monday, April 27, 2026, to determine final rankings ahead of the knockout phase.
Police VC will open proceedings against Kenya Ports Authority at 8:00 a.m. at BK Arena. Kepler VC will face Equity Bank of Kenya at 6:00 p.m., followed by APR VC against Petrojet of Egypt at 8:00 p.m. at BK Arena. REG VC will play Kalibi Sports Club of Ghana at Petit Stade.
