The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has announced the creation of an independent arbitration body, to be known as the FERWAFA Arbitration Tribunal.
The establishment of this body was approved by FERWAFA’s Executive Committee during its meeting on Monday, December 15, 2025.
According to FERWAFA, the tribunal has been set up to handle disputes and cases related to football in an independent and legally compliant manner.
The tribunal has been given a one-year mandate and will be led by Me Eric Kanamugire, assisted by Pelagie Niwemfura.
Three other members of the tribunal include Thierry Mpamo, Me Alida Uwambayishema, and Athanase Nkubito.
FERWAFA emphasized that all appointed members possess extensive knowledge and experience in sports law, arbitration, and football regulations.
