Rwandan music star Niyo Bosco has officially married longtime partner Mukamisha Irene, celebrating a love story that has captured public attention since 2025.

The wedding took place on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Kaleb Garden in Rebero, Kicukiro District, which also hosted the couple’s earlier traditional ceremonies of courtship and engagement.

During the ceremony, Niyo Bosco shared heartfelt vows with Irene, speaking for nearly three minutes. Reflecting on their first meeting, he told his bride:

“When we met for the first time, I knew you were the one God had destined for me. I held onto that feeling until today, and I am grateful we could confirm it before our loved ones. Among millions of people, it was meant to be you.”

He emphasized that his love goes beyond a promise, describing it as a principle and a lifelong commitment.

“My love for you is not just a vow; it is a guiding principle, a duty, and a feeling that will inspire me every day,” he said.

The couple’s relationship became public in September 2025, when Niyo Bosco wished Irene a happy birthday with a poetic message expressing his love and appreciation. Later that month, at La Palisse Hotel Gashora in Bugesera, he gave her a promise ring, which she accepted.

On December 10, 2025, Niyo Bosco and Irene had legally formalized their union at Kinyinya Sector offices, in a ceremony attended by family and notable guests, including Edouard Bamporiki.

Niyo Bosco, 24, rose to fame in January 2020 and is known for hits such as Ubigenza Ute, Seka, and ‘Piyapuresha’/Peer Pressure, making him one of Rwanda’s most popular contemporary musicians.
