The Water and Sanitation Corporation (WASAC Group) has announced that several of its services, including water connection applications, will now be accessible through the Irembo digital platform, making it easier for customers to request and manage services online.

According to a statement released on Monday, January 26, 2026, services such as first-time water connection requests, additional water meter applications, and water reconnections following disconnection will now be processed via IremboGov.

The rollout will begin with a pilot phase in Kigali City districts, allowing WASAC to test the system and streamline operations before expanding the service to other districts across the country.

“This initiative is aimed at improving service delivery and making it easier for our customers to access water and sanitation services in a transparent and convenient way,” the utility said.

Integrating government services into IremboGov is part of Rwanda’s broader e-government strategy, which enables citizens to access public services efficiently and reliably. The move is expected to enhance service quality, reduce delays, and improve customer experience.

WASAC said the initiative reflects its commitment to leveraging technology to provide faster, more transparent, and customer-friendly services to the public.
